When someone false accusing you is it better to define yourself or just keep quiet?

It would depend to me based on who was accusing me, if they weer spreading rumors, and what their relationship meant to me.

If it's someone you don't care for, I'd say ignore and cut ties, since they can't be trusted. If it's a group of people, you're better off not socializing with people that spread false rumors.

If it's someone closer, and it could be a misunderstanding, I would confront them, one on one. If they ddeny, just walk away. But if they apologize, give an explanation, you could probably still have a friendship, but I'd say keep your guard up, don't trust too quickly.

Like I said, it really depends on how close you are to a person. If they're not that close, cut ties, but if they are close, and least ask for an explanation, the rest is up to you. When someone false accusing you is it better to define yourself or just keep quiet?
Keep quiet.

Patience most often pays off. And when the truth comes out, it will make you appear even more wise. When someone false accusing you is it better to define yourself or just keep quiet?
JUST KEEP QUIET. DON'T GET ALL DEENSIVE THATS ALMOST AS GOOD AS AN ADMISSON OF GUILT. THEN CALMLY EXPLAIN YOUR SIDE
DEFINITELY DEFEND YOURSELF. If it's a wrongful accusation people need to know where you stand. The last thing you need is a bad reputation - especialy if you're not a bad person to begin with!

Don't be abrupt about it, or people will think you are guilty, but trust me this is the most important thing you can do.

Don't wait till people have started rumors and such and have thought up little additional lies to the situation. Waiting will only make things worse. Deal with it ASAP and then you won't have to worry anymore.
